A hotel project at Lake Norman’s LangTree development is moving forward and could be finished in about two years, according to the Charlotte-based developer.
Pharos Hospitality pledged $500,000 to a new SwimMac aquatic facility at LangTree last month. The 250-room DoubleTree by Hilton is planned to be closely tied to the aquatic center.
Pharos CEO and founder Buddy Watson said plans for the $60 million hotel are well underway. Completing the project could take 18 to 24 months, he said.
“We have a high degree of confidence in its success,” he said. “There are some final designs that have to be sorted out with SwimMac.”
LangTree is a major mixed-use development with apartments, restaurants, a medical office and other businesses in addition to the planned hotel and swim center.
