Cranes are back in Charlotte. And with cranes come cameras.

Construction cameras offer a bird’s-eye view of large projects. And even cooler, they offer time lapses. You can watch a whole office building or apartment project spring up in about 30 seconds, workers scurrying around like ants as the floors fly out of the ground.

Here are some of the active construction cameras in Charlotte right now. Click the links to view the cameras:

▪ 300 South Tryon

This 25-story office tower is still getting ready to go vertical. You can watch a time lapse of crews digging out the big foundation, driving piles and putting up cranes.

▪ 1616 Camden

▪ 500 E. Morehead
