Charlotte’s newest luxury apartment is underway in Ballantyne, as Terwilliger Pappas continues to spread the Solis brand.
Solis Ballantyne, at North Community House and Bryant Farm roads, will be a 194-unit complex. Terwilliger Pappas, headed by Charlotte-based CEO Peter A. Pappas, has Solis-brand apartments under construction or completed in SouthPark, Dilworth and Waverly on Providence Road. When all are complete, there will be about 1,000 units of Solis apartments in Charlotte.
Solis Ballantyne will be a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Units should be ready for occupancy in August 2016, with amenities including a pool, grills, fitness center, yoga room, club rooms, and pet walking and grooming areas. Detached garages for parking will be offered for some units.
“The design of Solis Ballantyne reflects the demands and tastes of upscale renters in the south Charlotte area,” said Pappas, in a statement.

Fortune Johnson is the general contractor, and the design team includes Rule Joy Trammell Rubio Architecture and Interior Design and Cole Jenest Stone, which will provide landscaping and engineering services.
Charlotte is in the midst of a major apartment-building boom, with a record 10,400 units under construction and another 10,000 or so planned. Most of the units are upscale and aimed at attracting young millennials and downsizing baby boomers.
Federal Capital Partners is Terwilliger Pappas’ joint venture partner for Solis Ballantyne. The Maryland-based private real estate investment company is also a partner in the Solis Waverly development.
