Trinity Partners is still looking for tenants to fill a proposed office tower at South Tryon and West Morehead Streets.
The building, called 1000 South Tryon, would be a 14-story, 300,000 square-foot office tower. The site would include a 900-space parking deck with free parking for tenants, and five stories of multifamily housing in front of the parking deck facing West Morehead Street, with about 30 units.
Trinity has said it will sign an anchor tenant before starting construction, which would take an estimated 15 months.

In a marketing flier sent in late December, Trinity, which is partnering with site owner Honey Properties, touted South End’s attributes.
“South End is growing at a remarkable pace, and it’s already one of the region’s most sought-after places to live, work and play,” Trinity’s leasing team wrote.
Since 1000 South Tryon was first announced, several other office projects have gotten underway on a speculative basis, without anchor tenants signed. Most of them will open in 2017.
▪ Portman Holdings started construction on 615 South College, a 371,000 square-foot, 19-story building adjacent to the Westin hotel.
▪ Beacon Development started 500 East Morehead, a seven-story, 180,000 square-foot building.
▪ In SouthPark, Lincoln Harris has started its second building in the Capitol Towers complex, which will total 480,000 square feet.
▪ In Ballantyne, Bissell is underway on the Brigham building, a 10-story, 287,500 square-foot building set for completion in Nov. 2016.
Other office projects are underway or planned. Dimensional Fund Advisors is building a 285,000 square-foot East Coast headquarters building in South End. Crescent Communities is preparing to start work on Tryon Place, a 700,000 square-foot tower at South Tryon and Stonewall Streets. And Spectrum Properties is building a 630,000 square foot, 25-story office tower at 300 South Tryon Street, with Babson Capital as an anchor tenant leasing about a third of the building.
