A rezoning plan filed recently with the city would allow a new duplex development on Old Concord Road near UNC Charlotte.
The plan for the 2.6-acre site was filed by Marnicaly @ UNCC, a limited liability company state records show is affiliated with private real estate investors in Charlotte. The land is currently mostly vacant, with two houses on the site.
Preliminary plans show the development would include:
▪ 26 duplex residences facing internal streets and open space.
▪ An 1,800 square-foot clubhouse and amenity building.
▪ 78 parking spaces, or three per unit.
The plan is set for a public hearing before Charlotte City Council on April 18.
