The single-family house part of a massive mixed-use development in south Charlotte is hitting the market, starting Saturday.

Builder David Weekley Homes is opening sales at the Whole Foods-anchored development, which includes shops, restaurants, apartments and offices. Waverly, a 90-acre project at Providence Road just south of Interstate 485, is being developed by Childress Klein and Crosland Southeast.

The houses for sale at Waverly include two models. From 2,828 to 3,858 square feet, the Executive Collection houses start at $470,000, while the 2,303 to 3,129 square-foot Village Collection starts at $385,000. David Weekley will also build townhouses at the site, starting in late summer, for a total of 150 residences.

“Waverly homeowners will enjoy easy access to Ballantyne, SouthPark and Uptown Charlotte, and students will attend South Charlotte schools, including sought-after Providence High School,” the company said, in a statement.

Here’s what else Waverly will include:

▪ 375 apartments in the Solis Waverly complex, under construction by developer Terwilliger Pappas.

▪ Up to 250,000 square feet of retail space, including a Whole Foods set to open in late 2016. Other tenants include gym CycleBar, Chick-fil-A, ULTA Beauty, Viva Chicken and Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar.

▪ Two office towers, five or six stories each. The site will include medical offices anchored by Novant Health.

▪ A 141-room Hilton Garden Inn developed by Naman Hotels.

Waverly is far from the only – or even the biggest – mixed-use development underway in the area. Directly across the street, Lincoln Harris is bringing hundreds more dwellings, office buildings, retail and more to the 194-acre former Charlotte Golf Links course. And just north of Waverly, Crescent Communities is planning to build Providence Farms, with hundreds more residences and retail space.
