Charlotte City Council approved a plan Monday to reuse an old warehouse off South Boulevard for entertainment uses – and bring back a favorite sign to the area.
The 17,455-square-foot warehouse building at Southside Drive and Yancey Road is near Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, Sugar Creek Brewing and a distillery.
The plans approved Monday allow eating, drinking and retail businesses, along with an outdoor patio, at the warehouse. The QP Queen Park sign, which used to stand nearby, is included as part of the redevelopment. A company called Meck City Social LLC is behind the redevelopment.
