David Weekley homes won rezoning approval from Charlotte City Council this week to build a gated subdivision in Ballantyne, and the company expects to move ahead with construction starting this summer.
The new subdivision will include 60 townhouses and 27 single-family houses. The 15.2-acre site is on North Community House Road, south of Ballantyne Commons Parkway and adjacent to Ballantyne Country Club.
David Weekley Homes said it will start construction this summer and will open sales at the community in spring 2017.
