MapAnything, a Charlotte-based company that recently received a new round of funding for expansion, has leased 21,000 square feet for its new headquarters.

Located on 77 Center Drive near Tyvola Road and Interstate 77, the new offices will accommodate up to 170 employees, a spokeswoman said. That will be an increase from 90, the current headcount.

MapAnything, which sells mapping and geo-analytics products, received a $7.3 million investment in December from a consortium of investors, powering the current round of expansion. The company’s new headquarters should open in August.

Here’s how Cindy Akus of MapAnything described plans for the headquarters: “The space will have an industrial feel (metal and wood finishes and an unusual concrete reception desk). There will be open spaces and writable wall surfaces to encourage collaboration. The design will highlight MapAnything's geo-analytic and mapping product by incorporating colorful map graphics on the concrete floors and exposed ceilings.”
