A company called Vizant has leased 20,000 square feet in Ballantyne Corporate Park and plans to expand significantly, the company said this week.
Chief operating office Angie Grunte said the Pennsylvania-based company, which relocated its local offices from the University City area, plans to grow from its current 75 employees to 300 to 400 over the next two to three years.
“We consider Charlotte to be the financial center of the South,” said Grunte. “We already see Charlotte potentially becoming our corporate headquarters.”

Vizant, which describes itself as an “an advisory, business intelligence and thought leadership firm,” leased its offices in the Everett Building in Ballantyne Corporate Park. They moved into the new offices in June.
“The need for talent is what originally brought us into this market,” said Grunte, who said Vizant opened its first Charlotte offices a little over a year ago. The company has been able to hire banking and finance veterans to help meet its clients’ needs, Grunte said.
