A developer is planning to build two dozen townhouses at a site on Sharon Road near Quail Hollow Country Club, according to a rezoning plan filed recently.
NVR Inc., parent company of Ryan Homes, filed the application to build up to 24 townhouses at 6151 Sharon Road. The 3-acre site is owned by Holy Covenant United Church of Christ and is currently occupied by a church.
The townhouses would be built in blocks of four, with access from Sharon Road to a private network of streets. The units will each have a two-car garage, and will be two stories tall, according to the rezoning plan.

Charlotte City Council will hold a hearing on the rezoning request in the coming months and vote on the proposal.
