A developer is planning to build townhouses on a piece of vacant land next to Frazier Neighborhood Park, according to a rezoning request filed recently.
The site is 0.27 acres, currently zoned for single-family residential development, located at Margaret Brown Street and South Sycamore Street.
According to the rezoning plans, filed by an affiliate of ZCM Real Estate, the development will include seven townhouses on the land. The buildings would be three stories tall and include balconies and parking for two cars each.

Zeb Moser of ZCM Real Estate couldn’t immediately be reached for more information. Real estate records show the company acquired one of the two parcels included in the plan for $180,000 in February. The other has long been owned by a family partnership.
Charlotte City Council will hold a hearing and vote on the plan in the coming months. It’s the latest move towards more density in popular uptown and close-in neighborhoods.
