Which stores are open and closed on Thanksgiving in Charlotte?

Pressured from the boom in online shopping and other competition, many retailers are opening their doors earlier and earlier this holiday season, some even before the pumpkin pie has been served on Thanksgiving Day.

Others, however, are opting to stay closed on that day. Outdoor gear retailer REI, for example, has been staying closed on Thanksgiving as well as on Black Friday to encourage customers to spend time “outside with family and friends.”

Below a list of retailers with stores in Charlotte opting to remain closed on Thanksgiving, and another with those that will be open. The ones open on Thanksgiving will also be open on Black Friday, and if a store isn’t open on Thanksgiving, we’ve noted whether or not it’ll be open on Black Friday.
