At long last, South End is getting a Starbucks.
The coffee shop would be located inside the Publix grocery store on South Boulevard, according to city building permits and Publix spokeswoman Kimberly Reynolds. Another Starbucks cafe will soon go into the Publix in Ballantyne.
The South End location is still in the permitting stage, Reynolds said. The Ballantyne location is slated to begin construction this week.
The Publix store in South End – at 2222 South Blvd. – opened in April 2015. The Ballantyne location at 11222 Providence Road West was Publix’s first store in North Carolina, and it opened in February 2014.
