A free tour of uptown Charlotte museums and art galleries will be held Dec. 22. The event will feature free trolley rides and samples from local craft breweries.

Uptown Crawl, from 6-9 p.m., takes visitors to the following locations: Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture, Mint Museum Uptown, New Gallery of Modern Art, Wells Fargo Historical Museum, Sozo Gallery, McColl Center for Art + Innovation, Goodyear Arts and the Charlotte Christmas Village, according to Charlotte Center City Partners, which is hosting the crawl.

Guests can start at any of the featured locations, and can travel by foot or by trolley.

The crawl is being sponsored by Birdsong, which will have beer samples at the New Gallery of Modern Art and at the Wells Fargo Historical Museum, as well as Sycamore, which will have samples at the Sozo Gallery.

Uptown Crawl also took place in October. Organizers say they plan to continue to make the crawl a recurring event uptown throughout 2017.
