Two new Chick-fil-A restaurants are opening soon in the Charlotte area.

The first opens Feb. 2 in Lenoir’s Smith Crossroads at 116 Wilkesboro Blvd., the chain said in a statement Thursday. In the south Charlotte Waverly development, another location at 11530 Waverly Center Dr. opens Feb. 9.

The chain said it anticipates customers will line up 24 hours prior to the first restaurant’s opening. The first 100 people in line at each new location on the grand opening mornings will have a chance to win free Chick-fil-A meals for a year, the chain added.

Mike Sheley, who will operate the new Lenoir location, will also host a children’s book drive Feb. 1-2, from 6 a.m.-10 p.m., in celebration of the restaurant’s opening. Gently used books will be donated to a local elementary school.

Including the two new Charlotte-area locations, Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A operates 151 restaurants in North Carolina. The chain also recently said it will open its first location in Charlotte Douglas International Airport in early 2017.
