The upscale beauty retailer Bluemercury is opening its first North Carolina location soon in Charlotte.

The store/spa will be in Blakeney Park in south Charlotte. It is slated to open May 5, according to a statement this week from the company.

Bluemercury offers luxury-branded beauty products and has a spa that offers treatments like facials, peels, waxing and more. The spa has expanded its brick-and-mortar presence since being bought by Macy’s in 2015.

The company carries luxury beauty brands including Bobbi Brown, NARS and Kiehls, among others.

Bluemercury said in a statement this week that it expects to open 40 locations this year alone.

Blakeney is at Ardrey Kell and Rea roads, near Ballantyne in south Charlotte. Other retailers in the complex include Target, Chopt, Harris Teeter and Vestique.
