Dilworth’s first Food Truck Friday kicks off May 5 in the empty lot on the corner of Scott Avenue and East Boulevard.
The weekly food truck rally takes place from 6 p.m.- 10 p.m. through the spring, summer and fall, rain or shine, according to the event’s Facebook page. It will be both family-friendly and pet-friendly, and parking is available on site.
The event’s Facebook page also indicates that Boone’s BBQ, Tin Kitchen and Kabobsters are among the participating food trucks. Truck reservations can be made at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The event’s site is across from the old spot where the restaurant 131 Main once was. The lot has remained vacant despite rapid development all over Dilworth, though it does host seasonal sales for items like Christmas trees and pumpkins.
