A fitness and retail boutique called Fit Atelier is opening next week in Dilworth.

Behind the shop are sisters Brit Turner and Melanie Morton. The two call their concept a “retail first” in Charlotte: The retail portion will offer “high-end, chic indie activewear” from brands like L’urv and Michi, and the fitness part includes partnering with local studios to bring in celebrity trainers to teach classes, according to a statement from Fit Atelier.

The studio at 310 East Blvd. opens Friday.

“We want to be lifestyle store. Our leggings, crops, sports bras, tanks and gear are meant to be easy and confidence boosting pieces to throw on for yoga, pilates, running or any workout, in addition to a quick jaunt to Whole Foods or Earl's Grocery,” according to the statement.

Fit Atelier’s first fitness program is a partnership with Charlotte’s Hilliard Studio Method. They will host Alice Ramshaw, head trainer at Body By Simone, which trains celebrities like Chrissy Teigen and Taylor Swift. Tickets cost $30.

The studio will also host a run club every other week, and free classes with local trainers periodically that customers don’t have to sign up for.

Turner advises checking in with Fit Atelier’s Instagram page for updates on schedules and ticketing.
