Several Charlotte QuikTrip gas station locations have been built and are slated to open within coming weeks.

The QT at 3025 Wilkinson Blvd. will open this week, said Mike Thornbrugh, QT’s manager of public and government affairs.

The new store at 3206 Eastway Drive, near Central Avenue and across from Showmars, will open in the middle of April, and the QT at 10621 Monroe Road, between Sardis Road and N.C. 51, will open at the end of April.

All three new stores are 5,700 square feet, which is about 1,100 square feet bigger than the typical QT store, Thornbrugh said.

The stores at Wilkinson Boulevard and Eastway will both have nine fueling dispensers, which means they can accommodate 18 cars filling up at the same, Thornbrugh said. The Monroe Road location has 10 pumps, meaning it can handle 20 cars filling simultaneously.

QuikTrip, a Tulsa, Okla.-based chain, only recently began its expansion into the Charlotte area. It’s known for its made-to-order food options, including sandwiches and personal pizzas, as well as a slew of beverage and packaged snack options. There are now about 30 QT stores in the Charlotte area, with several others under construction.
