A recently launched business in Charlotte delivers from area restaurants who don’t offer delivery themselves.
According to a statement from a company called Crunchbutton, the service officially launched April 9 and is “eagerly hiring bikers to fulfill the rapid increase in orders.” Drivers, who deliver on bicycles, make an average of $12 an hour and up to $30 during peak times, the company said.
Crunchbutton delivers from a variety of restaurants including Chipotle, Zoe’s Kitchen, Mellow Mushroom and Icehouse.
Food delivery options like Grubhub and Seamless have gained nationwide popularity across the country. According to its website, California-based Crunchbutton was launched in 2012 and allows customers to order food via an app or crunchbutton.com.

Customers can save their address, phone and payment information for quicker ordering on subsequent deliveries. Drivers update their progress online and call when they’re outside, the company said. Area deliveries start at 11 a.m., according to the company’s website. Delivery pricing wasn’t immediately available.
