Chop’t Creative Salad Co. has identified the storefront in Park Road Shopping Center it will occupy when it opens its first Charlotte restaurant this summer.
Property records indicate the New York-based fast casual chain will rehab the existing space at 4201 Park Road Unit 70, between the Charlotte Cafe and LALA Girl, near Harris Teeter.
Chop’t spokeswoman Lysa Chen said no specific date is available for the opening day this summer.
Chop’t, known for using fresh, locally sourced ingredients in its chopped salads and wraps, currently only operates in the District of Columbia and New York. The company’s management has said they’d like to open “a bunch” of stores in North Carolina, including in Raleigh and Durham, and plans are already underway to expand into uptown Charlotte.
According to the company’s website, Chop’t operates 28 stores in the New York City area and Washington, D.C., and is not currently franchising.
