Amélie’s hiring for new store and flagship location

Amélie’s French Bakery is accepting resumes Monday for a number of positions at its new south Charlotte location as well as its flagship bakery in NoDa.

The restaurant said on its Facebook page over the weekend that interested applicants can stop by the NoDa store at 2424 North Davidson between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. for an interview.

Amélie’s hasn’t given a specific date for the opening of its new Carmel Commons bakery but has said it’s aiming for mid-May. The original location on North Davidson Street opened in 2008.

Here are the positions Amélie’s is seeking to fill at the Carmel Commons bakery:

▪ Introducing beer and wine.

▪ Front of house/server.

▪ Experienced pastry chef/baker, which requires a minimum of two full years of professional experience.

▪ Sandwich station line cook to prepare sandwiches, soups, crepes and items on the bar menu.

▪ Barista/bartender, which requires a minimum of one year as a barista and beer and wine knowledge.

▪ Dishwashers/cleaning crew.

And here are the positions it’s seeking to fill at NoDa:

▪ Front of house shift supervisor/assistant manager, which requires a minimum of one full year of professional experience.

▪ Experienced sous pastry chef/baker, which requires a minimum of two full years of professional experience.

▪ Sandwich station line cook to prepare sandwiches and soups.

▪ Front of house/server.
