The popular juice bar Nékter is expanding in the Charlotte region.
This fall, the chain will open an 1,298 square-foot location in the Strawberry Hill shopping center, the south Charlotte complex that is in the midst of an extensive redevelopment.
A handful of new restaurants will also open in the center, including a Tex-Mex spot called El Felix, and a Dunkin’ Donuts.
Nékter also opened two juice bars in December: An 840 square-foot spot 2725 South Blvd., near the new South End Harris Teeter, and a 1,551 store at 19116 West Catawba Ave., in Cornelius, according to a statement from MPV Properties, the Charlotte firm representing Nékter.

In addition to freshly made juices, smoothies and acai bowls, the two newest Nékter locations sell dairy-free frozen desserts.
Nékter, headquartered in California, operates 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday through Friday, and 7 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday.
Juice and smoothie bars have been popping up all over Charlotte in recent years.
Clean Juice Bar has added locations in Davidson and South End, and has several others planned nearby, for instance. One Life Raw Juice Bar opened in Myers Park in the fall of 2015, Juice Bar opened in 2015 in the Park Road Shopping Center, and Green Brothers Juice Co. opened late last year in Dilworth near Food Lion.
