Tinder Box, a specialty cigar shop, will add its fourth Charlotte location, in Ballantyne Village.
It’s slated to open in a 1,200-square-foot space this month.
Tinder Box, which was started in 1987, sells homemade cigars from around the world, pipes, tobacco accessories and other gifts.
“We’re excited to have a destination retailer that provides a unique atmosphere to enjoy fine cigars,” Ed Camp, general manager at Ballantyne Village, said in a statement.
The company’s original location is in SouthPark Mall and it has two others – in the Arboretum Shopping Center in south Charlotte and in uptown Charlotte’s Overstreet Mall.
The addition of Tinder Box is one of many recent changes at Ballantyne Village, which two years ago was bought by investors, Vision Ventures and Mount Vernon Asset Management, who are starting to see their rebranding vision realized.
Other changes include the opening of a second BlackFinn Ameripub in place of Villa Antonio, which will relocate and open under a new concept, Gusto Pasta. Additionally, Terrace Café will expand and Shear Excellence, a men’s salon, will open a second Charlotte location.
