A pop-up shopping event that runs Wednesday through Friday will feature three visiting local vendors and offer specials at brick-and-mortar retailers at the Bank of America Plaza.
The event, Shop Uptown, comes just a few days before Mother’s Day, which is Sunday, May 10, and most of the featured shops will offer discounts on gifts.
Pop-up vendors include Pott’s Chocolate, Mallory’s Candles and Canvas, a boutique. Bank of America Plaza is home to a variety of retailers, including The Beehive, Brownlee Jewelers and Cline Classics (CC’s), a boutique jewelry store.
Shop Uptown runs 10 a.m.-4 p.m. May 6-8 at 101 S. Tryon St., inside the Overstreet Mall.

“We have great existing retail uptown, and this event will help shoppers get a better sense of the retail options we have right here,” said Chris Hemans, director of retail for Charlotte Center City Partners, which is hosting the event.
This event is another example of how uptown Charlotte is starting to experience some growth in retail offerings – from the increasing popularity of the 7th Street Public Market to other recent pop-up shopping events hosted by Charlotte Center City Partners.
