Toymaker Lego will open a store in SouthPark mall this summer.
The new store will be in the Nordstrom wing next to Lilly Pulitzer and will sell a variety of its trademark colorful construction toys for children ages 2 and up, including, Duplo sets, Lego Star Wars and Lego Disney Princesses.
According to a statement from the company, each store features three design components: a wall where shoppers can hand pick specific Lego bricks in a variety of shapes and colors in bulk, a hands-on play area in the center of the store and a display that runs the circumference of the store and features model displays, company history and fun facts.
“Our store at SouthPark will enhance our consumers’ overall Lego brand experience through product variety, store design and regular hands-on family events,” Eric Wolfe, vice president of the Lego Group, said in a statement.
Lego currently operates 85 stores in North America, including its flagship locations in Chicago, New York and the Mall of American in Minnesota.
