The Orvis store in South Charlotte will celebrate its grand reopening May 28 with a day of activities and giveaways.
Located in Phillips Place, Orvis will offer visitors free commemorative pint glasses, free food and refreshments, live music and the chance to win a $500 gift card. Tom Rosenbauer, a well-known fly-fishing author, will also make an appearance.
The festivities will run from 5 to 8 p.m.
A portion of the proceeds from the day will be donated to Catawba Lands Conservancy, Orvis’ conservation partner.

The Orvis store originally opened at 6800 Phillips Place in the summer of 2009. Regular store hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 6 p.m.
Orvis, which specializes in outdoor gear and fly-fishing equipment, operates more than 80 retail stores in the U.S. and U.K.
