On Aug. 5, a husband-wife duo will open Charlotte’s first Experimac, a retail concept centered on providing repairs, upgrades, trade-ins and sales of previously owned Apple products.
Jeff and Monika Prainito will open the shop at 16131 Lancaster Highway, Suite 3. The two have backgrounds in industrial engineering, supply chain, health care and entrepreneurship, according to a recent statement from the company.
Experimac is a franchise concept from United Franchise Group, which, according to the statement, plans to open another three Experimac locations in Charlotte and a total of 15 stores across North Carolina and 10 in South Carolina within the next few years.
Experimac provides repair services for Apple laptops, phones and tablets, trade-ins of existing devices and sales of accessories and software upgrades.
“Apple devices are only growing in popularity and the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a business that hadn’t yet made it to North Carolina to help more people to gain access to them was perfect for me,” Jeff Prainito said in the statement.
