SouthPark mall is undergoing some big changes, and shoppers may have started to notice signs indicating store relocations.

The Abercrombie & Fitch and Abercrombie Kids stores in SouthPark have closed for now and will reopen Wednesday in a temporary location in the Macy’s wing, where Abercrombie was.

The two will open a combined store later this fall in the space near Urban Outfitters that was formerly occupied by American Eagle, which closed in January, a mall spokeswoman told the Observer.

Bath & Body Works has closed the doors at its former space across the way and currently is in a temporary one in the former Cache space, a few stores down from Apple. (Cache filed for bankruptcy earlier this year and closed all its retail stores.)

Bath & Body Works will reopen later this year in a new space in the Macy’s wing.

It is not yet clear what will occupy the retailers’ temporary spaces once they move into their new permanent spots.

The moves come as SouthPark mall gets started on a significant renovation project that will bring interior and exterior upgrades, including refinished columns and new luxury seating throughout, and new landscaping and fountain improvements near the mall’s main entrance.

The mall is expected to announce a few new store openings in coming months, too.
