A Walgreens and a restaurant will occupy the one-story brick building under construction at 1500 Third St., at the corner of South Torrence Street near uptown Charlotte.
The drug store will occupy about 3,000 square feet and is slated to open in about three months, said Steve Thomas, who is developing the site.
A yet-to-be-determined restaurant will occupy the remaining approximately 5,000 square feet. The restaurant will be on the side with the outdoor patio, which is framed by six columns and steel beams overhead.
Thomas said a lease hasn’t yet been signed for the restaurant, though he expects it will be within a couple of months.
