Rush Espresso has closed its shop in Ballantyne Village and will reopen Friday in a new space.
Its new location is close by — next to Art in the Village and near Abraham Joseph Fine Jewelers. The cafe wrote on its Facebook page last week that the buildout of the new spot was almost complete. It closed in the old space Sunday night, and said it hopes to reopen Friday at 6 a.m.
“Don’t panic folks, the move is only 40 yards across the carpark still inside the wonderful Ballantyne Village,” Rush Espresso wrote.
Ed Camp, the shopping center’s spokesman, said the facility is “entertaining offers” on the former Rush space, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
Ballantyne Village has been undergoing a number of changes, including additions and relocation of several stores. Two years ago, the shopping center was bought by investors Vision Ventures and Mount Vernon Asset Management, who are now starting to see their rebranding efforts take place.
Ballantyne Village is at 14825 Ballantyne Village Way in south Charlotte.
