Fast casual seafood chain Captain D’s plans to expand its North Carolina footprint and is seeking franchisees in Charlotte, Winston-Salem and Raleigh-Durham.

The restaurant currently operates 28 North Carolina locations. The company says its latest growth builds on recent sales momentum: Captain D’s has had four straight years of same-store sales growth, a retail industry term for sales at stores open at least a year.

Nashville, Tenn.-based Captain D’s operates a total of 512 locations nationwide. The seafood chain’s menu features items like shrimp, chicken, kabobs, hush puppies, desserts and sweet tea.

Qualified franchisees who are interested can contact Sherrie Saller, franchise development coordinator at (615) 231-2067. Mark Levis, senior director of franchise development, will also host open houses next week in Charlotte, Winston-Salem and Raleigh-Durham to meet with prospective franchisees.

“Prospective franchisees have an opportunity to join a nationally recognized brand that has been in operation for 46 years and in recent years, has achieved exceptional growth that catapulted us to the half a billion in system-wide sales mark,” Levis said in a statement this week.

Here are the dates and locations of the open houses:

▪ Charlotte – 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Embassy Suites at 1917 Ayrsley Town Blvd.

▪ Winston-Salem – 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Doubletree at 5790 University Pkwy.
