Tech-Zone, a walk-up technology support center, will host its grand opening in Kannapolis Oct. 19 at 10 a.m.
The store at 2217 Roxie St. NE provides expert technology and security services to small and medium-sized businesses, often who lack the tech support suitable for operations of their size, Tech-Zone said in a recent statement. The store also sells them hardware and software.
“Kannapolis, Concord and the greater Charlotte region is such a vibrant and burgeoning area where small and mid-size businesses abound, making it an ideal location to introduce Tech-Zone before rolling out the concept nationally,” said Dan Stone, Tech-Zone president.
Tech-Zone customers get technical support from full-time IT specialists in the store or onsite at their office. Services include private cloud hosting, printing and wireless plans. Tech-Zone also offers subscription-based support called Tech-Zone Pro, which operates like an in-house IT department, for $99 a month.
The store’s hardware offerings include laptops, 3D printers, point-of-sale equipment and tablets. The store also offers hardware services including repairs, refreshes and upgrades.
Tech-Zone had a soft-opening in Kannapolis a few weeks ago and before that operated at a temporary facility at 768 Tyvola Road in Charlotte, a spokeswoman said.
The store’s hours are Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
