A brand of children’s pants sold exclusively at Belk is being recalled because the zipper pull can detach, posing a choking hazard.

The recall affects about 8,300 Golden Horse five-pocket denim pants sold from June through September this year at Belk stores.

Only pants with the style number 4122186 or 4122185 printed on a white tracking label and sewn into the lower left inside seam are affected. Manufacture date codes 0415 or 0515 are also printed on the tracking label. The pants, with a “Nursery Rhyme Play” brand, were sold in infant sizes 6/9M through 24M.

In a memo this week, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said customers should stop using the affected products and return them to Belk for a full refund.

For more information, customers can contact Golden Horse toll-free at 844-594-3339 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. They can also visit the customer service site at www.Belk.com.

Charlotte-based Belk operates 296 stores across the Southeast.
