Jewelry store Scott’s Karat Patch will open at the Park Selwyn Shopping Center on Nov. 11. The jewelry store will offer bridal jewelry, diamonds, silver, precious stones and more.

Owner Scott Simon and his father, Lewis “Buddy” Simon, previously operated the Karat Patch Jewelry store in Myers Park before unexpectedly closing it earlier this year when Scott fell ill.

A family-run business, Scott’s Karat Patch will be operated the same way the Karat Patch was, the family said in a statement Monday.

The new store is expected to open at 11 a.m. Nov. 11 at 5110 Park Road, Suite 2F, near Selwyn Avenue.

“Our roots are in the Charlotte community, and we’re thrilled to open our doors to see familiar faces as well as new ones,” Scott Simon said.

Karat Patch Jewelry had operated for 32 years before closing its doors in early 2015. It was located at 901 Providence Road.
