In honor of Veterans Day, Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Charlotte area are giving away free chicken biscuits and chicken sandwiches to active military personnel and veterans Wednesday.

The offer is good at participating restaurants until 10 p.m., though hours vary by location.

A valid military identification is required, the Atlanta-based chain said in a statement this week.

“We hope active military personnel and veterans in our community will come out to enjoy this small token of our appreciation for their service,” said Katie Martin, area marketing director for Charlotte Chick-fil-A restaurants.

A number of other businesses in the Charlotte area are offering giveaways and discounts to military personnel and veterans, including California Pizza Kitchen, JJ’s Red Hots, Lowe’s and 7-Eleven. An extensive list can be found here.
