Orangetheory Fitness continues its Charlotte-region expansion and will open in the Lake Norman area on Dec. 4.
The Cornelius studio is at 20619 Torrence Chapel Road. Daniel Schloss, the studio’s operator, said sneak peek classes begin on Saturday, then the studio will host a grand opening party on Dec. 3 before officially opening to the public.
Orangetheory offers 60-minute workouts split into intervals of cardio and strength training using treadmills, rowing machines, TRX suspension training and free weights. Participants wear heart rate monitors to track their workout intensity and maximize metabolic burn.
The fast-growing fitness company has been expanding its local footprint recently. In addition to a Quail Corners location, Orangethory opened an Arboretum studio this summer, has another one scheduled to open soon in the University City area and another one is slated to open in South End sometime in 2016.
