Polished Nail Bar is expanding and has opened a new salon in Huntersville. It’s the fifth area salon of its kind but the first outside the city of Charlotte.
The salon also plans to open a sixth location later this year at the Waverly complex in south Charlotte.
The new Huntersville Polished is at 9121 Sam Furr Road in Northcross Commons. Its services include luxury and express manicures, pedicures, waxing and hair removal, lash extensions and facials. It also offers complimentary beverages, ‘Man-E-Cures’ for men and specially priced services for children under 10.
The Huntersville salon is open 9:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.

“Residents who live near the lake have been begging us for years to open a location closer to their homes. The right opportunity finally presented itself,” co-owner Sonny Kim said in a statement this week.
Kim and his wife, Haley, opened the first Polished in South End in March 2006. They operate three additional nail bars in Myers Park, SouthPark and Stone Crest.
The sixth Polished slated to open in late 2016 is in the Waverly complex, the 90-acre, mixed-use development on Providence Road just south of I-485. It broke ground in August.
