MPV Properties has sold the former Office Depot space at 9011 S. Tryon St., just south of Interstate 485. It will be turned into a beauty supply store.

The 17,500-square-foot Office Depot building went up in 2005 and has been vacant since last May, Charlotte-based MPV said Monday.

The new owner, Hyock Kwon, plans to convert the space into a Tisun beauty supply store.

Tisun sells an array of makeup, skin care, wigs and hair care. The retailer operates another store at 5420 N. Tryon St., near Eastway Drive.

Matt McLanahan and Keely Hines of MPV Properties represented the seller of the Office Depot building, and Matthew Hagler of KW Commercial represented Kwon, the buyer.
