A new Zaxby’s will open in May in east Charlotte.
The new restaurant, currently under construction, is in a 3,600-square-foot space at 8905 Albemarle Road. Once completed, it will have seating for 70.
Ahead of the opening, Zaxby’s is hiring 50 people, who can apply online at www.snagajob.com, or in person at the Mooresville Zaxby’s – 288 W. Plaza Drive, according to a recent statement from the company.
“Zaxby’s has proven to be a great fit for the Charlotte market, and we will continue to work hard to be this community’s choice for dining,” said Drew Patel, the local franchisee who also operates the Mooresville location.
Statesboro, Ga.-based Zaxby’s is known for its fried chicken wings and competes with Bojangles’, which is based in Charlotte.
Zaxby’s operates over 700 restaurants in 16 states, mostly in the South, but it also has locations in Indiana and Utah.
