A new home delivery service called Favor is now operating in Charlotte.

The courier service says it connects users with essentially their own personal assistants (“runners”) who can run any kind of miscellaneous errands, from delivering takeout orders to dropping off forgotten apartment keys, for a flat delivery fee of $5.

Orders are placed through a mobile app that’s available via the iTunes or Google Play store. Runners can deliver orders 10 a.m.-10 p.m. every day, Favor says.

Favor will deliver to neighborhoods across the city including uptown, Dilworth, NoDa, Plaza Midwood and Elizabeth. A full delivery zone can be found here. Favor says deliveries happen in under an hour, and 35 minutes is the average delivery time.

To celebrate its launch in Charlotte – which officially happened Tuesday – Favor is giving first-time customers a free delivery when they use the promo code FAVORCLT with their orders at checkout.

Charlotte marks Favor’s 23rd delivery market. The home delivery market in Charlotte has been heating up, with the addition of services like DoorDash, which launched last month, Doorstep Delivery, which launched here last June, and Postmates, which launched last April.
