Harris Teeter will open its fourth North Carolina fuel station May 20 in Denver’s Waterside Crossing, about 20 miles northwest of uptown Charlotte.

The new seven-pump, 240 square-foot gas station will offer customers 3 cents off every gallon of gas if they use their VIC card, the Matthews-based supermarket said in a statement Friday.

The grocer is having a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. the day the station opens.

The Denver fuel station is at 7426 NC 73 Hwy.

Harris Teeter was acquired by Ohio-based Kroger in January 2014. Harris Teeter’s first North Carolina gas station opened in Harrisburg in December; before that, it had two in South Carolina.
