A new Thai fusion restaurant called Hibiscus just opened on Woodlawn Road across from Park Road Shopping Center.

Hibiscus, which has a Korean-Thai menu, is in an approximately 2,000-square-foot space at 1600 E. Woodlawn Road. It’s in the same complex as Jason’s Deli and Libretto’s Pizzeria.

Roger Kongkham, one of the owners, said the restaurant’s soft opening was Monday, and it’s shooting for a grand opening sometime in the coming weeks.

It will be open 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 5-10 p.m. daily, according to its Facebook page.

Kongkham said the restaurant is still looking for one or two bartenders and four to five more servers. Those interested can find an application online.
