As it continues to grow its brand, Charlotte-based Bojangles’ is touting its signature beverage with a handful of giveaways and special offers starting Friday.

To celebrate National Iced Tea Day, Bojangles’ is giving away a cup of its signature iced tea Friday with any purchase.

Then starting June 10, in honor of what it’s calling the “Summer of Tea,” the chicken-and-biscuits chain will be offering its iced tea all summer until September 5 for only $1.

Bojangles’ said for both offers, the cup size and participation may vary by restaurant.

Two other initiatives the chain is undertaking to promote its tea: Bojangles’ will give away a year’s supply of its signature tea to a select Bojangles’ E-Club member, and a team is making a road trip to Wilmington and Myrtle Beach to give away tea to beach-goers.

Bojangles’, which went public last spring, operates 662 restaurants, mostly in the Southeast. The company’s management had said they plan to expand the chain gradually, first by filling out its core markets in the Carolinas.
