Harris Teeter is opening its fifth Charlotte-area gas station July 22 in Mooresville.

The new five-pump fuel center is close to Harris Teeter’s supermarket at the Village of Byers Creek, at 117 Argus Lane.

The station will offer customers 3 cents off gas with their VIC card, Harris Teeter said Monday. To celebrate the grand opening, the gas station will also offer a 20-cent discount on gas from July 22-24.

The new gas station will be staffed daily from 6 a.m.-10 p.m., and fuel will be available for purchase by debit/credit card 24 hours a day.

Kroger bought Matthews-based Harris Teeter in January 2014 and has gradually started adding many of its own features to Harris Teeter stores. Harris Teeter’s first North Carolina gas station opened in Harrisburg in December; its most recent opened in Denver in May.
