A thrift store called Mission Thrift is opening its first donation center and shop in Pineville Aug. 26.
The 10,000 square-foot store is at 300 South Polk St., according to a statement Wednesday. The store will feature gently used furniture, home goods, toys, books and clothing for adults and children.
Store proceeds will benefit the American Leprosy Missions, a global nonprofit that provides medical treatment and training, community development, outreach and more for people affected by leprosy and related diseases.
The store will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. The donation center will be open Monday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Free donation pickup is available by calling 866-843-1535 or online at www.missionthrift.org.
