Savory Spice in South End will soon be relocating to another spot in Atherton Mill, freeing up its current 1,600 square-foot space for a yet-to-be-named tenant.
The spice shop is moving to a spot between Big Ben pub and O-Ku, a sushi restaurant that’s expected to open soon.
Edens, the Columbia-based developer that owns the former mill, declined to say what will go in Savory Spice’s spot facing South Boulevard.
Edens is in the midst of adding new tenants such as Free People and Alton Lane, and Anthropologie opened there last year.

Edens is also redeveloping parts of the complex, and the buildings that previously housed the bar Bonz and the furniture store By Design are expected to be torn down. Plans include the addition of apartments atop retail space built along South Boulevard. Much of the existing mill complex along the Blue Line light rail is expected be saved.
