It’s been a busy fall for sculptor and painter Allison Luce, seen here at work in her home studio in Mooresville.
Her ceramics art, along with others, was on exhibit during last month’s “What Remains” show at Mitchell Community College in Statesville. (Luce is also an adjunct instructor at the college, teaching drawing and ceramics.)
And this Wednesday evening, she’ll participate in an event with the Arts & Science Council.
“I am an artist in their fall Community Supported Arts Project and our final event is ... at the aviation museum,” Luce writes. She’s one of nine artists in the project, all presenting art pieces to participating members. “The collectors will receive the 50 sculptures I created for the event.”

Luce receives this week’s ShopTalk travel mug. Send us your selfie, and you could win a travel mug, too. Use your mobile device to take candid photos of yourself in your business, showing off what you do in your environment. You can ask someone to take photos of you, too, but we don’t want professional shots. We’re looking for candids that capture the selfie spirit.
