Tyler Ford, founder of Industry, Inc. co-working space in Charlotte, is expanding at its NC Music Factory location.

Ford says when construction is finished in late August, Industry will have more than 23,000 square feet of space for entrepreneurs who buy monthly memberships to access the workspace.

He opened Industry in 2013 in a renovated space off Morehead Street, drawing a collection of technology and creative businesses. He later relocated to 1000 NC Music Factory Blvd.

Memberships, which according to the website start at $129 a month, include

access to conference rooms, printing and office supplies, locally roasted coffee, parking and internet.

“We’re incredibly excited about the growth of our business, as it reflects the growth of the broader business community here in Charlotte,” Ford said in a statement.

“Watching our local startup and technology scene thrive, as well as serving many young entrepreneurs and small businesses has been very satisfying. This expansion at the NC Music Factory provides an even larger resource for our local innovators to work, collaborate and build the businesses and organizations that make Charlotte a great city.”

Office spaces will range from 200 to 2,000 square feet. An open house is planned Aug. 20, from 5 p.m – 9 p.m.
